●「ヌン・ヤ」は、シリア人フルート奏者Naisam Jalal ナイサム・ジャラルとフランス人ウード奏者Yann Pittard ヤン・ビタールによって2004年から始められたデュオ・ユニットで、パレスチナのレジスタンス達に音で共感～支援を訴える活動を行うフランスを拠点にしたデュオです。
●古典アラブ、ジャズ、ファンク、Hip Hopなど、お互いが持つ様々な分野での経験を生かし、即興的演奏の中から、エモーションを探り、希有なリズムとメロディーを紡ぎ上げています。
たとえば、半アコースティック、半エレクトロの楽曲の中で、エフェクトによる操作は、打ち込みではなく全てリアルタイムでの演奏の中で行い、軽やかさ、柔らかさを主張しています。また、パーカッション的なリズム音は全てウードをたたいて繰り出すなど、これまでのアラブ・ミクスチャー音楽の枠を飛び越え、より肉体的で、魅惑的なサウンドを提示しています。
●ヌン・ヤは、フランスを中心に、シリア、レバノン、エジプト、モロッコで演奏。中東ではいくつかのテレビ局にて、本ＣＤが取り上げられ、放映されるに至っています。
●このユニーク且つ深遠なサウンドは、アラブ音楽ファンからジャズ・ファン、アンビエント・ファン、クラブ系ファンまで引きつける力があります。
