"Audio letters of a fake war"

Soundtrack from the audio-visual performance based on intimate correspondances recorded on audio tapes during the Lebanese civil war. A fictious war is unfolded when "Circle of Deceit" filmed by Volker Schlöndorff in Beirut, 1981, is combined with the tapes' reality.

1981年、ドイツ人映画監督シュレンドルフは内戦下のベイルートで「Circle of Deceit-偽造者-」の撮影をしていた。
　同じ年、現在レバノンを代表するラッパー、ワエル・クデ (Wael Koudaih aka.Rayess Bek)は家族と共にフランスへ亡命。内戦終結後14歳になったワエルはレバノンに戻り、母親の車の中でカセットテープを見つける。
　それは、離散した家族が唯一の交信手段として当時生の声を吹き込んでいた、カセットテープ。
　2006年レバノン侵攻。過激なテーマをアラビア語で歌い、アラブHipHop界の寵児となったワエルは再びフランスに渡り、80年代のレバノンの姿をシュレンドルフの映画で知ることに...

　アラブの伝統楽器ウード、ネイ、Kinect*による音空間、カセットテープが届けるレバノンからの、声。
